[Feature Request] Extra keyboard shortcuts

Hi

I would love to have these keyboard shortcuts

[Ctrl - K] - Search in files/tags box
[E] - To toggle edit and preview modes (mainly use it so I can click on url's)
[G then M] - Create new markdown note

Open to any combo being the shortcuts

Hi @hasole, thanks for the suggestions! Before building anything, I have a few questions so the shortcuts fit the way you use Poznote.

Ctrl+K for search

Ctrl+K already inserts a link while you are typing in a note. I see two options. The first one: Ctrl+K opens the search everywhere, and only inserts a link when some text is selected in the note (or the cursor is on a link). The second one: Ctrl+K stays the link shortcut, and the search gets its own shortcut, Ctrl+P, which works everywhere. Which one would you prefer?

E to switch between edit and preview

A single letter would just type an "e" in the editor, so you could never switch back to the preview with it. Would Ctrl+E (Cmd+E on Mac) be fine instead? Also, did you know about the live preview mode, available from the view button at the bottom right, where Ctrl+click opens a link without leaving the editor?

G then M to create a Markdown note

This sequence would only work while you are not typing in a note. Would a single combination like Alt+Shift+N suit you?

I'm pretty easy on what key. I'm just after the function :)

The other option is to allow user definable kb shortcuts. No idea how much development that would take though.

Thanks! Here is what will be in the next release then:

Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on Mac) opens the search, from anywhere, even while typing in a note (it only inserts a link when some text is selected or the cursor is on a link).

Ctrl+E (Cmd+E on Mac) switches a Markdown note between edit and preview.

Alt+Shift+N creates a new note, and you can choose which type (Markdown, rich text or task list) from a dropdown in the keyboard shortcuts window. All three are listed there.

User-definable shortcuts were actually the first thing I looked at when I got your request, but it needs a bit too much work for now, so maybe later. In the meantime, I went with this first version and added this small feature to the create new note shortcut to make it up to you 😅

I'm sorry, unfortunately, it's not up to me. 😕 PikaPods take a few days to test pods before deciding whether to roll out an update. They usually do this about once a week, unless there's an urgent reason to update sooner, like yesterday's PHP vulnerability. Thanks for your patience! 😊
