Hi @byMr712, thanks for the suggestion and the mockups! Instead of adding a second kind of table, I made the existing Markdown tables easier to edit. Clicking a cell now shows a small toolbar above the table to insert rows and columns, align, delete and add formulas (a tap is enough on a phone), and hovering a table shows "+" bars to add a row or a column at the end. The right-click menu is also reliable now, even while typing in a cell, and Shift + right-click gives the browser's menu. I also took the opportunity to add line breaks in cells: Shift+Enter starts a new line in the cell. This will be in the next release, let me know what you think! |

Hello! I recently started using tables in PozNote. In my opinion, editing them via Markdown is quite inconvenient. Although the preview mode and a more understandable format for editing are already an improvement, adding rows and columns still causes difficulties: sometimes the browser doesn’t pass the “right‑click” event to PozNote, treating it as an action related to the web page itself.
What about adding a more intuitive table editor — similar to what’s implemented in Excalidraw? It could feature a convenient interface for managing rows and columns (with the ability to customize the table’s appearance), as well as a function for inserting a table as a “link” or a link block — again, similar to how it’s done in Excalidraw.
Perhaps something similar to this design (generated by AI based on Excalidraw)

It is not necessary to replace an existing item in the standard tables; you can create a new one as an addition (generated by AI)

P.S. This is just a suggestion for an idea, not a specific implementation, and it’s not necessarily something that must be added.
