'Timeline' always blank

I'm not entirely sure why this is the case, but my Timeline view always shows "No data found for the selected options" no matter the options I select. I have more than 10 results for a certain executable, on an environment, for two separate benchmarks, on the master branch, but I can't seem to get codespeed to show my results in the timeline. Any debugging tips here?

Does the landing "timeline" page (no options) display a graph grid?

You could start a DB from scratch, then load the provided fixtures, as described here, then try to reproduce the problem. If it doesn't show up, maybe going to the /admin and looking at the data may reveal something obvious as to why your data is not working. If not, we debug further 😄

I will backup my current DB and try the test fixtures soon, I am running a backlog of benchmarks right now, and loading the results into the codespeed installation.

I can reproduce the problem. The reason is the name of the default branch, which is "default" by default, but "master" in your case (or git's case normally). The changes and timeline views currently only show the default branch.

So you should be able to see your data just by setting:
DEF_BRANCH = "master" in your project/settings.py

To fix the bug though, apart from adding DEF_BRANCH to the README, we should probably try to make a guess depending on whether it is mercurial or git.

Looking at your data also made me see bugs in the git and github commit log integration, will try to fix those as well.

Great! Thanks, that fixes it! Pull request submitted regarding the documentation, although more intelligent defaults would be nice. (Ideal case; being able to set the branch at view-time, but that's a lot of work, I understand. :P )

When you say bugs in the git and github commit log integration, do you mean the errors in the "commit logs" box on the right-hand side:
