where is the add animation button

Please ensure the current project is in CPM format. View it in File -> Convert Project.

Editing CPM models using Blockbench requires installing a plugin,https://github.com/tom5454/CustomPlayerModels/tree/master/Blockbench

Yeah it's a cpm model, but the add animations button still doesn't show up

I'm running into the same issue. I checked the current project format, and it is set to the CPM model format. However, I also checked the "customize toolbar" option for the animations tab, and the option for adding an animation says "Add Animation (Hidden)", so maybe this might help point in the right direction?

There is actually a custom button for adding a new animation, i don't know if you already found out
