@atelomycterus - Not sure what we can do about this, and this is lower priority than anything we currently have logged, but Topcoder has this requirement. Can you investigate and let me know if this is something we can do please? I'll adjust the payment upwards based on how difficult this may be.

Feature request: Add this thumbnail preview to any forum link? Imagine we post a forum link on Slack, then this preview should show up. Similar for any social media.

Essentially the unfurled URL preview would just look like this for anything that "unfurls" a URL, like Slack, FB, etc...

@jmgasper Yes, we can implement it. The main steps: request an url, get a HTML page, parse the HTML content by referring the title, meta and img tag names to get the page title, description and the image URLs, respectively.
These data are encoded into a JSON array and returned as the AJAX response. Show preview on the browser.

I'll try to do like the screen. This is a page preview in Slack. The preview should be displayed in a popup.
