This is a nostalgic recreation of the classic iPod interface for iOS. Currently, it has performance issues and the Apple Music library integration doesn't work properly, but it's still a fun experiment in recreating that old-school iPod experience we all loved.

- Classic iPod UI with authentic styling (black & white variants)
- Circular click wheel with gesture recognition
- Menu navigation that feels like the real thing
- Basic music playback
- Apple Music library integration
- Haptic feedback for that tactile experience
- Performance is not great
- Apple Music library integration is unreliable
- DRM-protected songs may not play
- Various bugs and quirks throughout
Because sometimes you just want to build something fun without worrying about making it perfect. This project is all about nostalgia.
- iOS 16.0+
- Xcode 15.0+
- A sense of nostalgia for the early iPod days.
- Clone the repo
- Open
iPodApp.xcodeprojin Xcode - Build and run on your device
- Grant music library permissions when prompted
This is just a fun side project, but if you want to play around with it, feel free.
Do whatever you want with it! It's just for fun anyway.
Remember when we all had iPods? Good times. 💭
