First release. A native macOS app that records a lecture, transcribes it locally on the Neural Engine, and files structured notes into an Obsidian vault by course.

Not notarized. There is no Apple Developer account behind this build, so it carries an ad-hoc signature: it proves the bundle has not been altered since it was built, and proves nothing about who built it. macOS will refuse the first launch of a downloaded copy.

To get past it on macOS 15 or later: open the app, let macOS refuse, then go to System Settings › Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway beside the message naming it. The older Control-click → Open trick was removed in Sequoia and does not work. Or strip the flag yourself with xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine.

Building from source avoids all of this, and the README covers it.

You will need: an Apple silicon Mac on macOS 14 or later, an Obsidian vault, and the claude CLI logged in to a Claude subscription. That last one is a real prerequisite — the notes are written by a model, and the app will spend subscription quota.

First launch downloads roughly 600 MB of CoreML transcription models. The first-run screen has a button to fetch them; do it before a lecture rather than during one.
