Rate watched without scrobbling

It seems that I need to have scrobbling on for the rating popup to appear and be functional. Would it be possible to only sync ratings without scrobbling? 

I tried to exclude a specific addon from scrobbling but the only option that actually excludes that addon is the HTTP option but that also stops my main addon from scrobbling.

Would really appreciate some guidance.
