Need help editing script of a MPV python script

Hi! So I have very little knowledge with coding and stuff but I use mpv and have tweaked a lot of its configurations. I came across a script that recognizes media and checks in it trakt, but it can cause lot of inconsistencies (multiple plays, etc.), its easier to immediately add it to history since i bound the activation of the script in a keybind anyway. If someone can help me modify the script, i'd be very happy :)
I tried reading the apiary and editing it myself but i just can't get it to work lol.
