I can't see any API apps that I've created. I created one quite a while ago (before v3 existed) but I can't see them in my API settings. I've been running into issues with some of my integrations receiving 403s when contacting the API, and I'm not sure if this is related.

Are all API apps locked behind VIP now? Even ones created before?

That's concerning. Majority of my interactions with Trakt are done via my own integrations or third-party applications... not having access to those makes this platform near pointless to me. And I can't justify paying for VIP just for API access.

+1, my API app was deleted without warning. Not a VIP here either, but i feed them data and now get nothing in return. Is this intentional?

The lack of notice just plain sucks. Whoever took that decision needs to hire a comms team...

This is just a temporary measure to prevent abuse. Our intention is to keep the API accessible for developers. We'll have more to announce soon.

So the lack of communication and notice is a big part of what made that change so frustrating, and you continue not communicating? That's brilliant. As far as I'm concerned, you've lost my trust.

Copy that. Completely. Because of this I will NEVER ever upgrade to VIP. Probably the opposite of what was intended. Damage has occurred. Users are (very) mad.

I would like to add that I am extremely frustrated about the communication and business practises of the Trakt team. Changes without information to any user, deletion of working stuff (my API app) and the constant nudge to subscribe leaves awful picture.

Our intention is to keep the API accessible for developers.

Why don't you communicate about it BEFORE deleting API apps then?
Give us some notice and some delay before doing such moves, you shouldn't cut access like that, some of us depend on those for production apps.
I'm lucky enough mine was on my main account with a VIP access, otherwise my app would have been unusable on the App Store!

The only thing you'll get from such behaviors is less developers and users but to be honest: it REALLY feels like that's your goal.
You've lost my trust as well, I don't even want to integrate your service into my apps anymore…
