Since nobody responded to this query about the best way to proceed. And also, since I asked on MatterMost last weekend, it's become clearer to me that this is probably the correct choice), so I'm aligning the file with a consistent link mechanism (that works well on the github https:// wiki view, even if it doesn't in other scenarios like when one is looking at .md files directly on a filesystem locally.
not sure if this is the right choice, but trying it out for now...
fixing a copy-pasta error of duplication (or if I borked it somehow in a different way, whatever...)
