Tuttle is at the prototype stage, and we're ready to put it in the hands of real freelancers. If you're solo self-employed and curious to try it out, we'd love your feedback.

Who we're hoping to hear from

• Freelancers of any discipline — developers, designers, journalists, consultants, translators, etc.
• People comfortable running a desktop app from source (see the README for setup).
• Anyone currently using tools like Harvest, Toggl, FreshBooks, or Bonsai who can compare workflows — that comparison is gold for us.
• Folks based outside Germany especially welcome — we want to stress-test invoicing conventions, tax setups, and currencies in different jurisdictions.

What kind of feedback is most useful

• Workflow fit: Does Tuttle slot into how you actually run your freelance business, or does it fight you?
• Locale gotchas: Anything that breaks or feels off for your country's invoicing, tax, or currency conventions.
• Imports: Did your calendar / CSV / ICS data come in cleanly?
• Friction points: Where did you get stuck, confused, or annoyed?
• Missing pieces: What would you need before you'd actually rely on this tool day-to-day?

Bugs and crashes are also very welcome — the rougher the edges you find, the better.

How to participate

1. Install Tuttle following the README and give it a real try with some of your own data.
2. Reply below to introduce yourself: what kind of freelancing you do, what tools you currently use, and what you're hoping a tool like Tuttle could solve.
3. File bugs and feature requests as Issues, or drop more general thoughts right here in this thread.

If you're open to a short feedback call after a week or two of use, mention that in your reply — we're prioritizing those conversations while the project is still shapeable.

One thing worth repeating

Tuttle is local-first by design. No cloud, no accounts, no telemetry. Your financial data never leaves your machine unless you send it explicitly — that's a deliberate choice, not a feature gap.
