cannot use modal in a dropdown menu

I put a modal by trigger a li element which is in a dropdown menu, i found the modal won't show.

when i use firebug step by step excute, i found at last, the dropdown menu close, it will close the modal too.

how to fix it ?

Bootstrap simply hides dropdown content on click, if it's not wrapped around a form tag. You may like to try wrapping your content with <form> tag. But then if content is not a form, it won't be much semantically correct.
