macOS no VPN Configuration

i've had problems connecting with Brook on macOS but no issue on iOS so i decided to delete the VPN Configuration hoping that Brook would reinstall it but it doesn't ☹️ try removing and adding back server, and deleting and resintalling Brook but to no avail.

interestingly i tried to connect with my Mac mini to see if i could copy the VPN Configuration and add it manually back on my MacBook Air but Brook can't connect anymore on my Mac mini at home either! so it works fine from iOS, but not from macOS 🤔 a bug?

I also tried deleting the VPN Configuration and tried again, no problem.

• If you have custom DNS on Brook (the DNS button), check that the format is correct
• If you have custom modules(scripts), there maybe Syntax Error, try disable custom modules or disable all modules first
• In the video, my Brook version is v20250202
• In the video, the macOS is M1 and version is 15.1.1

I don't know the specific reason, and I think no need to copy VPN Configuration, if you delete all VPN Configurations, it will ask you the permission next time. It maybe macOS bug? Reboot? (Or reinstall the system, haha, this may not be a good solution, you can continue searching to see if you can find a solution)

BTW There is a small change in v20250202, that is, every time Brook is switched to the foreground, it will check whether the VPN is connected and update the status of the big round button on the home page. If you switch apps during VPN connection (when the big round button jumps around) and then switch back, the status of the big round button will change. So it is recommended not to switch to other apps during VPN connection.

This feature is to optimize the iOS client, and sometimes the VPN process will be killed when the memory is low. I think this feature should not appear in macOS, and it should be removed from macOS in the next version and only retained in the iOS client.

ok so tried on my Mac mini at home. couldn't connect. deleted the VPN Configuration. tried to connect again to my server via Brook, got the VPN Configuration Installation popup, allowed, everything works fine after that!

for the MacBook Air i ultimately was able to get it to work, but completely random. i had tried restarting etc., nothing worked. then one time the VPN Config popup showed up. weird. i think it was after i got a square of 朱古力。八十五%。maybe that's the reason?

ngl, i use my own Alfred Brook Workflow for Alfred lol. don't use Brook's UI. also not accessible so i can't target UI Elements with Wooshy. so sad.
