Description

Prerequisites

  • I verified that this is not a filter list issue. Report any issues with filter lists or broken website functionality in the uAssets issue tracker.
  • This is NOT a YouTube, Facebook or Twitch report. These sites MUST be reported by clicking their respective links.
  • I performed a cursory search of the issue tracker to avoid opening a duplicate issue.
  • The issue is not present after disabling uBO in the browser.
  • I checked the documentation to understand that the issue I am reporting is not normal behavior.

I tried to reproduce the issue when...

  • uBO is the only extension.
  • using a new, unmodified browser profile.

Description

When I am in Wealthscape and I open a trade window, it loads and then it says Can't open this page.

A specific URL where the issue occurs.

https://www2.streetscape.com/ssc/singlecontainer/bd/cambridge/app/trade/order-entry/mutual-funds?AcctNum=

Steps to Reproduce

  • Whitelisting Wealthscape domains in uBlock Origin
  • Adding $document, $inline-script, and $csp exceptions
  • Disabling EasyPrivacy and Annoyances filter lists
  • Turning off all per-site switches in uBlock
  • Testing in Edge InPrivate windows (with no extensions)
  • Testing in Chrome (with uBlock disabled or not installed)
  • Confirming that the popup still fails unless uBlock is fully disabled in Edge
  1. Key Discovery
It was discovered that uBlock Origin's background process remains active across all
Chromium-based browsers (such as Edge and Chrome) until the extension is fully disabled in Edge.
This background process interferes with Wealthscape's popup generator, even if uBlock is not
installed or is disabled in other browsers.
  2. Conclusion
To ensure proper functionality of Wealthscape's popup windows, uBlock Origin must be fully
disabled in Edge via the Extensions manager. Alternatively, users can create a separate browser
profile without extensions or use a different browser (such as Firefox) that isolates extension
    processes more strictly.

Expected behavior

I can still use the window.

Actual behavior

Can't open page
