Allow legend to be "selected" from a property/class/state.

I want to be able to control the legend ( active/hovered item ) using react or redux state.

This task is simple with AreaSeries, and I suspect much of the Series components as well.

I cannot find a way to do this for the legend, and if there is one I must have missed it.

The only work around I've been able to control is if I pass react components into the items property and control their style with state, but I cannot make it uniform to the actual hovering of the component, since I cannot control anything outside of the passed in component without investigating DOM manipulation.

Right now the discrete color legend items can be disabled or not. We could give them extra props (highlighted, active, ...). They can already capture interaction. They just don't have different looks corresponding to different statuses themselves.

What I mean, is when you hover over the individual legend items within the legend component, it applies a style to the item. I want to be able to apply that same style to the legend items from outside the of the legend component. Effectively you can hover over the AreaSeries associated with a legend item, and the legend item looks as if you've hovered over it from within the legend component.

I cannot find any access to the items underlying elements to which the classes are applied in order to apply it without doing some creative DOM manipulation. The only thing I've been able to do is triggering my own event which only applies style to the react components I pass into the items property of the legend component.
