Synix v1.0.22 — Community Testing Notice

Community Testing

This release includes major changes and needs broader testing from the Synix community. Although Synix includes automated testing, it is not possible for one developer to install and test every supported server.

Some startup arguments were created with AI-assisted research and available documentation. If you discover incorrect, outdated, or missing arguments, please report them and include the correct arguments if you know them.

When reporting a compatibility problem, please include:

• The server you were managing.
• The action that failed, such as installation, starting, stopping, updating, or monitoring.
• Any error message displayed by Synix.
• The correct startup arguments or configuration, if known.
• A link to official documentation when available.

Important: Never include passwords, authentication tokens, Discord webhooks, or other private information in a report.

• The built-in problem-reporting page in Synix settings

Windows Security Notice

Synix is designed to run without administrator privileges.

Because Synix is currently distributed without a paid digital signature, Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may display a warning while the application is still building reputation.

• Download Synix only from the official GitHub repository.
• Confirm that the file came from an official Synix release.
• If SmartScreen provides the option, select More info and then Run anyway only if you trust the downloaded file.
• Do not disable Windows security features solely to run Synix.
• If Windows completely blocks the application, report the warning through GitHub or Discord.

Updating Synix

When Synix detects a newer version, use the update button displayed on the dashboard.

For a manual standalone update:

1. Close Synix.
2. Download the latest Synix.Control.Panel.exe.
3. Replace your previous standalone executable.
4. Launch the new executable.

For an installed version, download and run the latest SynixSetup.msi.

Your servers and Synix data stored inside C:\Synix are kept separate from the application files.

Available Downloads

• Synix.Control.Panel.exe — Portable standalone version. No installation is required.
• SynixSetup.msi — Windows Installer version. Adds Synix to the Start Menu and Windows Apps list.

Important Installer Change

Synix v1.0.22 replaces the previous Inno Setup .exe installer with a Windows Installer .msi package.

If you installed Synix v1.0.20 or earlier using SynixSetup.exe, uninstall that installed version first. Then download and run SynixSetup.msi like a normal Windows installer.

Uninstalling the previous application does not remove the servers and settings stored inside C:\Synix.
