Aurora stable ISOs based on Fedora 44 - testing

We have new ISOs based on Fedora 44.

We would appreciate if people could test these. Bare metal or VM is fine. We just want to know if the installation works and after the first reboot the plasma-setup works and sets up your user account correctly.

Then we can promote these to be the default ones

Update 14.05.2026: F44 ISOs have been pushed to production and are available on the website.

Tried a fresh bare-metal install on an 11th gen Intel CPU/iGPU laptop (no secure-boot, no dual-boot).
At least on the surface everything went correctly, and Plasma Setup launched quickly after first boot.

Just noticed a small inconsistency, but probably working as expected:
Aurora installer prompt for 12H/24H time format, but that setting seems to be overwritten by the locale set at the end by Plasma Setup.

Hi! Thanks for the testing and good that is working.

I remember some talks during the F44 beta cycle from upstream that the Anaconda installer and the end plasma-setup don't currently sync all the settings, so what you experienced with the locale/time is indeed an "known issue" from upstream. Luckily its not that big and might get fixed down the line once plasma-setup matures.
