Anyone having trouble with fingerprint unlock with Bluefin LTS (and particularly with a Framework)?

I am seeing that on Bluefin LTS with a Framework AMD 13 Ryzen 5 7640U (with a Goodix MOC fingerprint reader) that fingerprint unlock works on the first unlock after booting, logging in, and locking the screen, but afterwards it usually doesn't work. Other use of the fingerprint reader works okay. Does anyone else see this?

I checked Dosu about this here and also filed an issue with GDM about it. There are more details in those links. I can't find other similar reports in Framework or Bluefin forums, so I am wondering if it is specific to Bluefin LTS or not.

No, those workarounds relate to a case where the fingerprint reader usb device disappears completely from the system and resetting it brings it back. In my case, the reader is still active and still works fine after screen unlock. It is just that on the lock screen it appears to be unavailable. There is more detail in my first link.
