Also I have the understanding that buildstream (+ mkosi ?) is going to replace bootc and Containerfiles in Dakota (and maybe bluefin afterwards). Am I wrong ?

From what I understand, Buildstream is used to build the bootc container images by pulling from the Freedesktop SDK, GnomeOS, Bluefin Common and some other sources. Dakota is still committed to deliver the OS as a Bootc container, it's just building it with another tool and from other sources than what the Fedora ecosystem provides.

Okay, maybe I misinterpreted some information about experiments with sysupdate. I think Gnome OS also uses it. I implied Dakota would follow

GNOMEOS is a DDI, we're a bootc image. It's the same tooling it's just consumed differently. Ironically Bluefin Server is a DDI so we have one of those too lol.
