0.66.1
Singleplayer fixes and world generation for Decimation (Forge 1.7.10). One jar with everything.
Website with the install guide and the server guide: https://deciremnant.vercel.app/
Install
- On 0.64.7 to 0.66.0: click Update in the main menu, wait for "Complete!", then Quit game (start the game again from your launcher) or Later (the update is put in place when you close the game).
- On 0.59.0 to 0.64.6, or a new install: replace
mods/Decimation.jarwith thisDecimation.jar(remove anydeciworldgen-*.jartoo). The updater of those versions cannot find its own jar, so install by hand once. - If the in-game update stops with "download failed", replace
mods/Decimation.jarwith this one by hand.
Changes since 0.66.0
- The in-game updater names the kind of file it asks GitHub for, instead of Java's default request. For about half an hour on 22 October 2026 GitHub refused that default request and every older updater stopped with "download failed" (GitHub has since fixed it on their side); 0.66.1 and later no longer depend on it.
Everything new in 0.66 (Gunsmith screen, RK-1 Foregrip, ELCAN SpecterDR 1x/4x, attachments that follow the real guns, faster scope aiming after a restart, menu changes) is in the 0.66.0 notes.
Credits
- Decimation belongs to BoehMod.
- The Chernarus pictures in the official server list are used with their creator's permission.
Unofficial fan project. Not an official Minecraft product; not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.

Changes since 0.65.0
This release is about guns and the main menu.
Gunsmith
- The attach key (I) opens a new Gunsmith screen: your gun in 3D with its six slots (sight, barrel, grip, stock, paint, tracer) joined to the parts they hold. Click a slot to see what you carry that fits, click a part to fit it. The gun never leaves your hand.
- Drag on empty space to turn the gun all the way round, scroll to zoom, double click to reset.
New attachments
- RK-1 Foregrip: tames sideways recoil better than the Foregrip, upward recoil a little less. Found wherever the Foregrip is.
- ELCAN SpecterDR 1x/4x: press G while holding the gun to switch between 4x and 1x. Found wherever the 4x scope is.
- Grips sit under each gun's own handguard instead of one spot for every gun (no more grips in magazines or inside handguards).
Attachments follow the real guns
- Foregrips (the Foregrip and the RK-1) fit only rifles with a rail under the handguard. Wooden AKs, the RPK, FAL, G3, older M16s and bolt action rifles take none.
- Sights need a mount: the small red dot fits pistols with an optic cut or rail (Glock 17, Desert Eagle, Beretta M9); every other sight fits guns with a top rail or claw mount, or an AK style side mount (the AK family, RPK, AS Val, SVD).
- A grip or sight already on a gun that cannot mount it comes off into your inventory (on the ground if your inventory is full). Nothing is lost.
Scopes
- Aiming through a scope zooms in at once after you restart the game: the game now remembers where each sight sits instead of measuring it again every session.
- The see through scope glass works with OptiFine.
Main menu
- Updates are your choice: Play stays Play, and a question box asks Update or Later, on the title menu or the Esc menu in a world. Quit game saves your world before closing.
- Supporter is back in the menu, the Discord is linked at the top right and in My Community, and the footer shows our logo and site.
- The Updates and Coming soon news panels open a popup; Server Status rows come from real sources.
- Our own corner picture instead of the old store advert.
Fixes
- The first time armed NPCs come into view no longer freezes the game for a moment (their textures and gear models load ahead).
- Clicking a news panel no longer crashes the game.
Credits
- Decimation belongs to BoehMod.
- The Chernarus pictures in the official server list are used with their creator's permission.
Unofficial fan project. Not an official Minecraft product; not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.

Install
- On 0.64.7 or 0.64.8: click Update in the main menu, wait for "Complete!", then Quit game (start the game again from your launcher) or Later (the update is put in place when you close the game).
- On 0.59.0 to 0.64.6, or a new install: replace
mods/Decimation.jarwith thisDecimation.jar(remove anydeciworldgen-*.jartoo). The updater of those versions cannot find its own jar, so install by hand once.
Changes since 0.64.8
This release is about performance and stability.
Smoother play
- New city land generates about twice as fast. The short freezes when you walk or fly into a new part of a city are about half as long: the longest we measured fell from about 470 to about 210 milliseconds. Land that was already generated stays as it is.
- NPCs are drawn much faster: each look is drawn from one picture instead of seven layers, and guns and gear are drawn in one go. Armed NPCs take about half the drawing time, which helps most in fights and camps.
- Safezones and crowds: traders, guards, bandits and mechs no longer search for targets every tick, and NPCs no longer check every loaded creature every tick.
- The intro screen no longer keeps a processor core busy for the whole session, and the game stopped checking BoehMod's closed version server.
- Radios and other looping prop sounds stop when you are out of hearing (at most 6 play at once).
- Blood splats stop moving once they land, and infected no longer plan wander paths nobody walks.
- Decimation's melee weapons, throwables and name tags no longer cause thousands of OpenGL "Stack overflow" errors in a session.
- With the intro, sound and version check fixes above, the frame rate held steady in our long play sessions instead of falling minute by minute.
Fixes
- A muzzle flash no longer lights up every mob drawn after the shooter.
- NPCs with night vision goggles no longer have a dark vest and backpack, and their gear now covers their hair and beard.
- Scopes work with OptiFine: the gun stays visible while aiming, and a scope at the hip shows a plain lens, not a frozen picture.
- The hand holding a gun shows your own skin, not Steve's.
- Your last grenade, molotov or smoke grenade no longer stays in your hand forever.
- Corpses open with a right click while you hold a gun.
- Place names show again after you rejoin a world.
- No crash of the HUD when a world is joined without passing Decimation's menu.
/gamerule doMobSpawning falsealso stops our NPC spawners.- The update screen's bar fills to the end.
- The Continue button's tooltip reads "Last played: (your world)".

Website with the install guide and the server guide: https://deciremnant.my.id/
Install
- On 0.64.7: click Update in the main menu, wait for "Complete!", then Quit game (start the game again from your launcher) or Later (the update is put in place when you close the game).
- On 0.59.0 to 0.64.6, or a new install: replace

Changes since 0.64.7
- The update screen reads like Decimation's own did: the version and its size, "Downloading: 33%" then "Complete!", and the downloaded size before the total.

0.64.7
Singleplayer fixes and world generation for Decimation (Forge 1.7.10). One jar with everything.
Website with the install guide and the server guide: https://deciremnant.my.id/

- Remove any
deciworldgen-*.jarfrom your instance'smods/folder. - Replace
mods/Decimation.jarwith thisDecimation.jar. - Start the game.
On 0.59.0 to 0.64.6: install this version by hand once. The in-game updater of those versions cannot find its own jar and stops with "this game does not run from a jar (dev folder)". From 0.64.7 on, the menu's Update button works: it downloads the next version, then Quit game (start the game again from your launcher) or Later (the update is put in place when you close the game).
Changes since 0.64.6
- The in-game update finds the game's own jar, so updating from the menu works from now on.
- The update runs on Decimation's own update screen: progress bar, file size, "DO NOT CLOSE YOUR GAME!" while it downloads, then Quit game or Later.
- Our DeciRemnant logo in the menus, where the DECIMATION lettering was.
- Pop up messages carry the title DeciRemnant, and the Server Status page's Website row checks our website.

0.64.6
Singleplayer fixes and world generation for Decimation (Forge 1.7.10). One jar with everything.
Website with the install guide and the server guide: https://deciremnant.my.id/
Install (once)
- Remove any
deciworldgen-*.jarfrom your instance'smods/folder. - Replace
mods/Decimation.jarwith thisDecimation.jar. - Start the game.
Already on 0.59.0 or newer: the menu button says Update. Click it, wait for the download, then choose Quit game (start the game again from your launcher) or Later (the update is put in place when you close the game).
Create a new world with the world type "Decimation" to get the newest cities: city sizes, airports, wasteland gates and refuges only appear in worlds made with this version.
Changes since 0.59.0
- Cities of 4 to 64 districts, with refuges spread through the big ones (new worlds).
- Wasteland gates in the inner fence: most are shut (wire and landmines, steel, a bus, HESCO), a few are broken open; T junctions where city streets end.
- Military airports in wasteland cities: runway, taxiway, hangars, tower, fighters, revetments, armory, fire station, radar and a garrison (new worlds).
- NPC tracers stop where the shot stopped, so they no longer fly through buildings.
- No more connection attempts to BoehMod's closed network (a background thread leaked every 15 seconds).
- The world clock's day counter keeps counting after Decimation's daily time reset.
- The update check survives GitHub's rate limit.
- Main menu: our news panels (GitHub, Updates, Website, Coming soon), real scenes of our world as the background, a new one every 7 seconds, our name and version, Website and GitHub links, a Continue button that opens the world you played last.
- Server pages: Bukovka and Chernarus are coming soon, Players Online says coming soon, Server Status lists Global Server, Community Server and Download (offline for now), and My Supporter is now Early access.
- Bloaters, hulks, mechs and frails that Decimation swaps in while a chunk loads no longer move and attack at double speed (they were added to the world twice).
- Airport and bunker garrisons: every post gets its guard, also posts far from where you arrive, and guards stay at their posts and walk back to them after a fight.
- The wasteland checkpoint gate closed with HESCO can no longer be climbed over.

Install (once)
- Remove any
deciworldgen-*.jarfrom your instance'smods/folder. - Replace
mods/Decimation.jarwith thisDecimation.jar. - Start the game.
From this version on, updates come in the game: when a newer release exists, the menu button says Update instead of Play. Click it, wait for the download, then choose Quit game (start the game again from your launcher) or Later (the update is put in place when you close the game).
Create a new world with the world type "Decimation" to get the cities and the newest layouts.
Changes since 0.58.0
- Auto update from these GitHub releases: checked at start, downloaded with a progress screen, verified against the release's checksum, swapped in when the game closes.
Personal singleplayer project; Decimation itself belongs to BoehMod.
0.58.0
Singleplayer fixes and world generation for Decimation (Forge 1.7.10). One jar with everything.
Install
- Remove any
deciworldgen-*.jarfrom your instance'smods/folder (it is inside this jar now; keeping it crashes the game with a duplicate mod). - Replace
mods/Decimation.jarwith thisDecimation.jar. - Start the game. The first start unpacks the city buildings into
config/decimation_worldgen/.
The voice chat jar is not needed. Create a new world with the world type "Decimation" to get the cities and the new wasteland layout.
Changes since 0.57.2
- One jar: Decimation with our fixes, our world generation mod and the city content in a single file. Cities were missing on fresh installs because their buildings never shipped; they do now.
- Scopes: the see-through glass is now refreshed only around the scope while aiming, instead of the whole screen during the zoom and while just holding a scoped gun (frame drops on weak laptops).
Personal singleplayer project; Decimation itself belongs to BoehMod.
0.57.2
Singleplayer fixes and world generation for Decimation (Forge 1.7.10).
Install
Put both jars in your instance's mods/ folder:
Decimation.jarreplaces the original Decimation jar (it carries the bytecode fixes).deciworldgen-0.57.2.jaris the world generation and fixes mod.
The voice chat jar is no longer needed: the menu shows Play without it. Most world features only appear in worlds created with this version.
Changes since 0.56.0
- 0.57.2: no forced update screen. Without
DecimationVoiceChat.jarthe menu showed Update instead of Play, which led to the dead BoehMod server list with no way to start a world. Decimation's update check now always says no update is needed. - 0.57.1: a wasteland city is a whole city sector of its own (all four districts wasteland), standing inside its city: its streets join the city around it through gates in a wire fence on its edge, with no empty land between. No city safezone inside it. New worlds only.
- 0.57.0: Decimation's crates give 1 to n items per open as listed (military, police, medical and ammo crates used to give exactly 1), and stacks reach their listed size. Groundwork for crate levels, NPC loot bodies, the day clock and armor protection; our loot lists are editable in
config/deciworldgen_loot.json.
Personal singleplayer project; Decimation itself belongs to BoehMod.
0.56.0

Install
Put both jars in your instance's mods/ folder:
Decimation.jarreplaces the original Decimation jar (it carries the bytecode fixes).deciworldgen-0.56.0.jaris the world generation and fixes mod.
Keep DecimationVoiceChat.jar in mods/ too, or the menu shows Update instead of Play. Most world features only appear in worlds created with this version.
Changes since 0.49.0
- 0.50.0: Decimation props through every city street and building (street furniture, interiors, decay), placed by a verified facing table.
- 0.51.0: shop signs and graffiti on facades, parks and open lots, traffic jams toward city exits, crashes at crossings.
- 0.52.0: place names: city districts and named bases show Decimation's turf banner when you enter them.
- 0.53.0: building props varied per building, with a theme and a story each.
- 0.54.0: the wasteland district is the city's military area: a military zone, army buildings, military loot, checkpoints, vehicles and enemy groups.
- 0.54.1 and 0.54.2: fewer repeated wasteland buildings, motor pools laid out like the army does, crash sites with a cordon.
- 0.55.0: juggernauts and elites carry rifles 6 times in 10; Decimation doors instead of vanilla ones everywhere we generate; worn ground at the city edge; wasteland buildings locked behind military keycards.
- 0.56.0: the wasteland city stands apart, fenced with chain link, barbed wire and landmines, with guarded gates. A bunker blockhouse holds the richest loot, a garrison of juggernauts and elites, and an infected spawner. Asphalt ramps replace street stairs; metro stations open from the sidewalk.
Personal singleplayer project; Decimation itself belongs to BoehMod.
