AO2 v0.4.80 public alpha

First public alpha release of AO2, a local-first governed software-delivery orchestration tool.

What is included

  • Local-first AO2 CLI and release/readiness automation.
  • Risky PR / release-train evidence flow with static reports and machine-readable summaries.
  • Public CI coverage across Ubuntu, macOS, and Windows.
  • Release-readiness artifact closure index (ao2.release-artifact-closure-index.v1).
  • Read-only ao2-control-plane bridge evidence for release train observation.

Trust boundary

  • This is a pre-release alpha, not a production-stable release.
  • AO2 remains local-first and provider-key-free by default.
  • The control plane observes release evidence; it does not approve releases or mutate AO2 artifacts.
  • No provider API keys are required for the included local workflows.

Known limits

  • Release authority remains outside the control plane.
  • Some advanced release/publish flows are still guarded by local evidence and explicit operator action.
  • Public binary/install coverage is being hardened incrementally.
