Retrieving

Oftentimes, items requested for an order have already been digitized. This could be because the item was digitized and never added to Collective Access as a proxy copy (in which case, the researcher is requesting a screener), or, because the item is already online but the researcher needs a clean copy (to show in a class, put in an exhibit, use in a commercial production, etc.). There are several different storage locations for these digital objects depending on the quality needed, the era in which it was digitized, or the collection (among some other more random factors).
