Additional informations in the health module

First of all, thank you for your work.

I would like to request an improvement to the health module. Could you please add the possibility to enter a child’s height and head circumference ?
These measurements are particularly important for newborns and young children.
I currently have a newborn, and I would find it very useful to track these measurements with other health informations.

Thank you, and congratulations on the newborn.

Height and head circumference are in. They sit next to weight in the vitals tab, because at that age the three are taken together and whoever wants to record one is looking for the others in the same place. Both accept cm or in, and both show up in the chart and the history like any other measurement. The vitals table turned out to be generic enough that this needed no database change at all.

Two things I want to be upfront about.

No percentiles. For a newborn the raw number is only half the story: what a paediatrician actually reads is where 37.5 cm falls on a growth curve for that age and sex. Yuvomi records the number and plots it over time, but it does not tell you what it means. Doing that properly needs reference data per sex and age in weeks, and it turns a household planner into something that gives medical readings - a decision I would rather make deliberately than as a side effect of this request. You asked to track the measurements, so that is what this does. If the curve is what you are really missing, say so and I will treat it as its own discussion rather than quietly leaving it out.

You probably also need this to be recordable by you, not by the baby. Every entry in the health module used to be tied to the person signed in, which is exactly wrong for an infant. That changed in v1.83.0 (#584): an admin can grant one person permission to record for another, under Settings → Family, and the person switcher in the health module then says "You are recording for X". It is off until somebody sets it up, and given the timing you may well be on a version that predates it or simply have not seen it. Worth checking before you go looking for where to type the numbers.
