The 2025.11.24 version of CiThruS2 runs on Unreal Engine 5.6. You can use CiThruS2 by building the code yourself using the instructions in README.md or by using a pre-packaged build. See the links at the bottom of these notes for the packaged builds.
The wiki tab has information on how to use CiThruS2:

Environment
The environment is a recreation of the suburb of Hervanta in Tampere, Finland. Areas further away from the center of Hervanta are less detailed. Weather and time-of-day effects can be adjusted visually.
In the latest version, the terrain has been adjusted to fix unrealistic height differences between the ground, the buildings, and the roads.
Traffic Simulation
Simulated cars, pedestrians, and cyclists are included. Trams are also functional, but they use an unfinished placeholder model.
All traffic entities obey traffic lights and yield when appropriate. Cars can park at parking spaces. Basic traffic scenarios can be set up and saved using the scenario editor accessible through the main menu.
Video Capture
Color and depth data can be captured, streamed, and saved from the environment in real time. A 360-degree camera is also available.
Recommended Computer Specs
Capturing real-time video data in the environment requires a more powerful computer. The GPU affects capture performance the most.
If you do intend to use CiThruS2 for capturing real-time video data, we recommend the following specs or better.
| CPU | GPU | RAM |
|---|---|---|
| Intel Core i7-14700KF | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 | 32 GB |
If you do not intend to use CiThruS2 for capturing real-time video data, we recommend the following specs or better.
| CPU | GPU | RAM |
|---|---|---|
| Intel Core i7-12700KF | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 | 16 GB |
