Sites own domain appears in referrers after upgrading to v2.16.1

Describe the Bug

After upgrading to 2.16.1, the domain of the site tracked started appearing in the list of referrers, as if it was a traffic source for itself.

I am fairly confident it was not there in 2.15.1 and don't recall seeing it there in 2.16.0 either, although I only ran that version shortly before 2.16.1 dropped.

Same here, for some users we have our own website as referrers. This is the case since the installation of Umami about a year ago.

We are using the hosted version.

Taking a look at the code the app excludes the referrer if hostname = referrer. I guess there are conditions where this exclusion would not apply.

Thanks for looking into this. Shouldn't the check also exclude the domain with www. prefix?
Debugging my website_event records I see hits with both domain.com and www.domain.com as hostname, while referrer_domain is always domain.com.
