Algolia index record quota exceeded breaks website #256

@millnut

Description

@millnut

When the record quota is exceeded it generates this error;

Failed to update data for Algolia index: {"message":"You have exceeded your Record quota. You’ll need to change your plan for more capacity, or delete records. See more details at https://www.algolia.com/account/billing/details","status":403}

However if you restart your website (e.g. Development environment), the website does not fully start up and instead shows the Umbraco "no published content found" even though there is published content.

Using Umbraco.Cms.Integrations.Search.Algolia v2.3.1

Workaround

Delete records or upgrade your plan, then restarting the website gets it back working to the expected state and no longer shows the "no published content found" message.

Expected

The website should not get into a state of "no published content found" due to this error.
