Question about the Canvas tool

I was wondering about the canvas tool, which is pretty useful to show generated html content without having to save and open it manually, but as it is now, you have to enable it in the options, then navigate a sub menu for each time you know in advance you know you gonna need it?

Would it not be better to just be available at all times? or automatically detect an html output and give the opportunity to render it in the canvas?

It is enabled by default at all times, however you need to specifically say show the HTML generated file here.
