Description

When the folder name matches the search query, it should be displayed.
If the folder is displayed, all children should also be displayed.
This feature can be toggled on/off by a folder button in the search bar.

@BrandonMurch I am thinking of a collection level search that not just filters by folder name, but much more like search inside body, scripts, tests etc

I know its been a year since you created this PR, But I'd love to hear your thoughts on what you think of the below UX and it would satisfy your use case that you had in mind

Here is a draft PR I have on this - #3823

I think this functionality is still usefull because it works like a filter, you obtain a clean tree with just the requests inside a specific folder

@tlaloc911 Have you tried the new search experience using hotkey Cmd/Ctrl+k or the search click in bottom right of the app ?

I don't think this is the right interface. We'd like to take some time here to think through and likely will be a larger effort on revamping the search in sidebar. Closing this PR.

I have tested it and I think it is a very good option to search request / explore collections and requests.

The new search bar didnt replace the search textbox. I use both functionalities as complement and the posibility to filter by folder name enhance the quality of results
