Elden ring crashing (NPE)

I wanted to know if anyone knows how to fix a null pointer exception crash in game native. I'm trying to run elden ring and it works great right up until a certain point before stormveil castle. It seems like it's trying to load something and just crashes when it tries to. Wondering if it's just a new driver issue and I will have to wait for updated drivers or this is something I can manually fix.
