Faint screen ghosting from font download

Sorry super new to all of this and I can't seem to find/figure how to fix this issue.
I have some faint ghosting left over from downloading a few fonts over wifi. It isn't super noticeable but it is still visible this is more visible when the screen does a refresh.
I've tried rebooting, manual refreshes, sleep screen cycling, dark mode, page turning on both dark and normal mode, reflashing firmware, flashing different firmware, and loading a white bmp file to manually refresh.
Just wondering is there any other trouble shooting I should do to fix this issue/if anyone has had this issue and been able to fix it or is this just burned into the screen at this point?

I have exactly the same problem on my X3. Even downgrading to v1.3.4 didn't help

I deleted recent.json and state.json from SD, refleshed firmware again and somehow ghosting disapeared

I'll have to take a look at that, were these files in a specific folder or just on the root?

Deleting those two files and reflashing unfortunately didn't work for me.

Wifi uses a lot of memory and can cause this. We try to mitigate this by doing a silent restart to reclaim RAM, but nothing so far has been able to completely get rid of this.

Thank you for the info, it isn't too bad just mainly making sure I wasn't missing anything I should be doing. I appreciate the work you have put into the fork and really like it.

I have this same problem as well and just got my device today. I wouldn't have downloaded the fonts (and it was a pain to do that since I didn't need some of them) if I had known it would leave this seemingly permanent ghost line. I reflashed it again but to no avail.

It should not be permanent and should be better after a few hours at most. I've noticed that some screens react more negatively than others. For example, I've seen my screen start to gradually go gray (until it's like a dark static-gray) after heavy Wi-Fi usage, but after the silent restart that happens, it clears up right away. Other people might have panels that are more stubborn and it takes a bit longer.

Yeah mine is a lot better than last week but it is still there and slightly visible. I even had to reflash from a fresh SD card because my device froze while using calibre sync I waited over 45 minutes to see if it would reboot or finish loading to no avail so I rebooted it myself and it ended up wiping the entire SD card. I decided to use a new one just in case the issue was the card.

Yes mine is better today and I reflashed again. There are issues with the screensaver ghosting and greying (known issue from Crosspoint).

Thank you uxjulia for working on this fork. I prefer it over stock and the standard crosspoint.
