This isn't working for me on x3. The option is there, but it doesn't seem to do anything. The Power+Up button works fine. Thank you for all the hard work! |

So... turns out the X3 and X4's hardware limits this being a possible chord shortcut. Apparently they share one electrical input so it's impossible to know when they're both being pressed at the same time. Looks like I need to remove this option for X3/X4 devices :( |

X3. This works for locking the device, but I cannot get it to unlock, I have to reboot. I've tried setting it as long press on both menu and back. |

Same here, have to restart via reset button. Went back to v1.5.1-rc-3 and the issue was gone. |

I probably didn't phrase the question correctly. My concern was this: when you use Quick Lock while the screen frontlight is on, I would expect the frontlight to turn off as well; otherwise, the screen will remain on for a while until the device goes into sleep mode. |

Ah. The quick lock's intent is only meant to be a temporary lock so you don't button mash while you quickly do whatever it is you're doing. It pauses reading stats and locks your buttons, but everything else is still awake. It's meant to be short-lived so you can quickly get right back into reading, not meant to be something you use for long periods, so with that purpose, I think leaving the light on is warranted, otherwise it's one more step you'd have to do to 'get right back into reading'. |

I get it—I just asked because PocketBook behaves similarly: when you tap QuickLock, everything locks and the backlight turns off to save battery; when you tap it again, the backlight turns on based on its previous state and everything unlocks. If the sleep timer expires while the device is locked, it will go into sleep mode. |
Ohhh that makes sense. I kind of like it staying on, I've used it as a really dim flashlight when I turn off all the lights at night, gather all my things and need to make my way from one place to another in the dark lol |

Same issue with the X3 getting locked after quick lock (have to hard reset). However, back on RC3, quick lock had a small bug where, if the dictionary ("Look Up Word") is active, and quick lock is activated, upon deactivating quick lock, the quick lock icon doesn't disappear until you press the back button and exit dictionary mode. Not a big deal, but confused me at first, so just letting you know, incase this bug is still there after you fix the current quick lock issue. PS- Quick Lock is AWESOME, I use it all the time. So helpful to avoid accidental tilt input, and I'm assuming avoids accidental swipes on the x4 pro. |
