The default value for XS font-size is
12pxafter this change (compared to the11pxbefore).That makes the default scale from M → S → XS:
14 → 13 → 12
Which is a more natural progression, as the XS size is limited to a 10px minimum. This allows a smaller base font-size to be used, e.g., 13 → 12 → 11 and 12 → 11 → 10.
