Windows 11 25H2 Night Light Issues

• I have confirmed that this issue does not happen when ExplorerPatcher is not installed
• I do not have "register as shell extension" enabled
• I have tried my best to check existing issues

Describe the bug

When night light is turned on and scheduled, and the machine is put to sleep, the night light stays on upon returning back to sleep. It is stuck being on and cannot be controlled even inside the Settings panel (the Turn on/off now functions does absolutely nothing.)

The only way to toggle this after resuming from sleep is either rebooting the computer, or restarting File Explorer from the ExplorerPatcher settings and then toggling the option on/off again. Not entirely sure if this is an ExplorePatcher bug per se, but just noticed it recently.

Expected outcome

The night light should automatically turn off upon waking from sleep after the scheduled timeframe has expired.

Actual outcome

The night light remains on and is stuck being on.

Since you didn't tick it: if you enabled the option register as shell extension, disable it by opening up the EP properties application, go to File Explorer, and untick Register as shell extension.

Ah, I did not realize those were checkboxes, but Register as shell extension is already not checked.

Try changing the taskbar back to windows 11 and see if it is still happening. If so, then you've confirmed this is a bug with the EP implemented windows 10 taskbar.

This is often a problem with faulty monitor drivers. I would try the suggestion of @pyrates999 and if it's still happening, I think you should look in that direction.

I will report back once I am able to test this more thoroughly - although it takes a bit of time for this to reproduce since it requires a long sleep past the schedule for it to work. I will see what I can find. Thanks.
