Name no values for ui-uri-type The names are agreed between a workflow module and its cockpit user interface. VanillaBP knows none of them. Whether a page is opened as it is depends on ui-uri-path: an address starting with http:// or https:// is opened unchanged, every other path gets the proxy route in front. Plain English for the wiki text written since 2026-09-15 Shorter sentences and common words in the pages which changed after story 1240. Headings, keys, code and links stay as they were. docs: the cockpit jars of 0.9.0 carry no user interface Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01BMPbYLKJQXaj22EoiKBWCR
docs(wiki): ui-uri-type is read by the user interface, not the cockpit Story 1413. The cockpit carries the value and never looks at it, so the page about forms says that a value is required, that the shipped user interface knows two of them, and that ui-uri-path is a path which the user interface turns into an address. The page about customizing says a user interface of your own may agree on a third value with the modules it loads. docs(wiki): the user interface is described, not delivered Customizing the user interface told the reader that writing down what a cockpit user interface has to do was planned and did not exist. It exists now, in this repository under skills/business-cockpit-user-interface, so the page says what each of the two ways gets you: copying the React application, or building one of your own against the description. The page now names the three boundaries a user interface sits on, with a diagram, and links Security, User task forms and status sites, Building a custom Business Cockpit and Developing UI components locally for each of them rather than repeating any of them. It also says why the description lives in this repository and not in the wiki or in vanillabp/skills, and what is still missing: the forms stay React whichever framework a user interface is written in, and nothing checks the description against a running cockpit yet. Say how a task in another application is opened The type EXTERNAL was described as a value the delivered user interface does not act on. It does now: the cockpit opens the address the workflow module reported, in a window of its own. Home loses the sentence about the link nobody follows. Architecture gets a section about work which lives elsewhere. User task forms and status sites gets the configuration, the setter a details provider calls, and the two things the cockpit does not do with such an address. Configuration and Connecting a workflow module say the same in one paragraph each, and Customizing the user interface no longer claims the type is refused. Complete the wiki with the remaining nine pages Configuration holds both sides in one place, the cockpit server's keys and the ones a workflow module writes. Building a custom Business Cockpit and Customizing the user interface say what an application of your own writes and how far a copy of the delivered user interface gets it. User task forms and status sites holds the module federation contract, and Developing UI components locally the dev shells behind it. Migrating from version 1 and Releases say what an upgrade costs.
