Hey there! We're just getting our Study Group off the ground. Come by McMenniman's on Monroe Street in Corvallis and socialize, discuss, and network.
What's a Study Group? Well, this study group is an informal gathering of individuals interested in Open Science, Computational Science, and the intersection thereof. We know that many folks at OSU and in Corvallis have fairly small support networks for using computational tools in their research. We'd like to expand your network of communication and support beyond your department, lab, or organization.
In the future, we'll be doing more Hacky Hours, but we'll also be gathering volunteers to run smaller group sessions on topics of interest - think: Intro to Git; Intro to Mapbox; Using the dplyr library in R; Code Review Basics; etc!
