BackColor of ucPanel control cannot be changed

When there are controls inside the ucPanel, later's BackColor cannot be changed. I added BackColor property in ucPanel. But as long as there are controls in ucPanel, it's BackColor remains gray.

Can you post a code snippet that demonstrates the problem? I tried using some ucPanel code that I found on vbforums.com, and setting ucPanel1.Root.Backcolor seems to work fine. I also tried adding a BackColor property to the ucPanel that sets Usercontrol.Root.Backcolor (so you can set ucPanel1.BackColor without referring to the "Root" object). It also also seems to work with whatever colour is passed, so I'm not sure what might be causing the behaviour you are seeing.
