Clarity needed for SetBaudRate Api

I was hoping to understand what the SetBaudRate API is:

1. What is the purpose of this API?
2. How are the three parameters utilized during the simulation?

Could someone please provide an explanation on this?

@saanjh-sengupta the API is used to set the baud rate, either for CAN, CAN FD or CAN XL operation. In trivial simulation, this is basically a no-op, since your simulation kernel has to implement all the semantics of using the baudrate (SIL Kit acts as a transport for the frames, you implement all the simulation on your side).

However, if you use the SIL Kit Network Simulator from Vector, a much more detailed simulation is used.
The baud rate settings are used to determine the simulated properties of the transmitted frames, e.g. transmission duration, access times etc.

It is required to set the baud rate in your SIL Kit participant's can controllers, to make them portable between different simulation scenarios, and make them compatible with the Network Simulator (or any other network simulator that implements the network simulator API).

Thank you for responding. I understand that the SetBaudRate takes three arguments to set the baud rate for CAN, CAN FD or CAN XL operations.

How do I enable only the baud rate to be set for CAN and disable the other arguments i.e. CAN FD and CAN XL?
