Welcome to the official wiki for Auto Minecraft Server Namer.
Automatically generate clean, readable server names from server IPs and domains, and bulk rename existing servers with a single click.
When adding a new server, the mod automatically generates a readable server name from the entered address.
| Server Address | Generated Name |
|---|---|
play.minemalia.net |
Minemalia |
nightlight-smp.play.hosting |
Night Light SMP |
pvpserver.aternos.me |
PVP Server |
mc.hypixel.net |
Hypixel |
The mod adds an Assign Names button to the Multiplayer screen.
- Scans your saved server list
- Finds servers with generic names
- Generates names from their IP/domain
- Renames them automatically
- Saves the updated server list
Minecraft ServerA Minecraft Server- Empty names
The mod intelligently converts hostnames into readable names.
playmcjoinhubserver
-_.
Example:
nightlight-smp.play.hosting
↓
Night Light SMP
- SMP
- PVP
- RPG
- MMO
- UHC
- FFA
- OP
- Skyblock
- Lifesteal
If multiple servers generate the same name, the mod automatically appends a suffix.
play.minemalia.net
minemalia.net
Becomes:
Minemalia
Minemalia (2)
If you manually change a server name, Auto Minecraft Server Namer will not overwrite it.
Example:
Server Address:
play.minemalia.net
Custom Name:
My Favorite Server
The mod leaves the custom name untouched.
Numeric IP addresses are ignored because they generally do not provide meaningful server names.
Example:
192.168.1.1
No name will be generated.
