Stuck on macos exfat format

Observed behavior

Stuck on macos exfat format.

Steps to reproduce

1. buy exfat format ssd.
2. create hidden and not hidden case on windows.
3. then pull from windows to ssd
4. then try to open it hidden case on macos.
5. wait until macos giving crash
6. then send report to crash mac os
7. then re apply

Exactly the same happens to me. It never mounts. It works fine on Windows.

Spends a few minutes with the "please wait" dialog, then the volume appears on the desktop (but you can't use it) and a few seconds later it says that there are no mountable file systems.

I tried chkdsk on Windows, volume is completely fine.

@emv33 I think problem about when sleep mode on macos after reopening giving error.

I don’t think it has anything to do with sleep. What solves it for me, usually, is to mount the volume on Windows, and then right-clicking the volume on the list of volumes of the veracrypt window and pressing “Check volume” or something like that. Then let chkdsk deal with it (can take a few hours).

Also make sure the cable you are using is okay. If you are using a dock, try connecting the disk directly.
