This error usually means Turbopack can’t find the Next.js package in your project:

A few things you can try:

1. Make sure next is installed as a dependency
   From your project root (where package.json lives), run:

   npm install next react react-dom
   # or
   yarn add next react react-dom
   # or
   pnpm add next react react-dom

   And confirm next appears under "dependencies" in package.json.

2. Run Turbopack / dev server from the correct folder

   • Open a terminal in the folder that contains your package.json.
   • Run:

     npm run dev -- --turbo

     (or the equivalent yarn dev --turbo / pnpm dev --turbo).

   If you’re using a monorepo / workspace, make sure you’re inside the app package that actually has next installed.

3. Clean caches after installing

   rm -rf .next .turbo
   npm run dev -- --turbo

4. If it still fails, could you share:

   • Your package.json (at least the "dependencies" section)
   • The exact command you’re running
   • Whether this project is part of a monorepo / workspace

With that info it’s easier to see why Turbopack can’t resolve the next package for this app.

I’ve managed to fix the issue myself in the meantime. I originally opened the ticket because the console message suggested that I should create one.
