Zero downloads is a discovery problem, not necessarily a product problem, so I'd start there before spending on influencers.
Couple things worth checking first. Your Play Store listing, does title and description actually match what people type when searching? Something like "multi tool" or "unit converter" pulls more traffic than a branded name alone, Play Store's search leans hard on keywords. Also worth adding screenshots that show real features in action, first few are what actually convert browsers into installs.
Reddit's decent for this too, stuff like r/androidapps or r/SideProject, just read each sub's self-promo rules first, some want you contributing before you post your own thing. Framing helps a lot too, "built this, curious what you think" lands way better than a straight pitch.
Product Hunt's free and gets you in front of people who'll actually try new apps and leave feedback.
Since it's on GitHub as well, a demo gif or a few screenshots up top in the README goes a long way, makes devs actually stop scrolling.
Before you go the influencer route I'd nail down ASO first, cheapest lever by far. Look at what competitor listings are ranking for, tools like Sensor Tower have decent free tiers for this.
Honestly I'd hold off on paid marketing/influencers till you've got some organic signal first, like 100+ real installs with people actually sticking around. Otherwise you're just paying to send people into a funnel that hasn't been tested yet.

Thank you so much for your reply...

We've tried several options, including ProductHunt, and now we're looking into paying influencers to generate more downloads.

We think the app is very good, but the problem is the promotion.

Fair if PH's done already. Before influencers though check your Play Console conversion rate (listing visitors → installs) and see if you rank for generic search terms. If either's weak, paid traffic just leaks. If both are fine, start small with micro-influencers(5-50k followers) instead of going big straight away.

Thank you for your suggestion. As you said, we are waiting for any influencer who saw this to contact us, or we will search for them on social media platforms, for example...
