Nexus: Production-Ready Admin Dashboard Built with Next.js 16 App Router

I wanted to share Nexus, a modern, lightweight admin dashboard starter I built using Next.js 16 App Router and React Server Components.

Why build this?

Many admin dashboard templates today are heavily bloated with massive component libraries, complex state machines, and hundreds of megabytes of dependencies. I wanted a clean, high-performance starter that boots in milliseconds and demonstrates clean architectural patterns.

Hey, this looks solid!

A few thoughts:

• Server/client separation — good call keeping the heavy data work in RSCs and slimming down the client components. That alone puts you ahead of a lot of templates out there.
• Pure CSS over a component library — I like the restraint. Glassmorphism can get out of hand quickly, but if it's still readable on mobile, that's a win.
• The live order stream with quick search sounds like the most useful demo feature — that's usually what people actually want to see working in a starter.

A couple of suggestions:

1. An empty/error state section for the widgets - dashboards live and die by how they handle missing data.
2. Maybe a table view with sorting/pagination? It's the most requested widget in real admin panels, and a lightweight pattern for it would be a great addition.
3. Consider documenting your data-fetching pattern - newcomers often struggle with where server data ends and client interactivity begins in App Router.

Nice work keeping it lightweight. Will definitely take a closer look at the repo!
