[opt/q] Out of curiosity, why not connect all GND to the rail instead of still using 3 GND pins on the pi?

Mostly in interest of keeping things simple and not changing too much at once. We tested this version of the wiring, but I don't have my own setup with a breadboard for testing, so I figure I'll stick with the known good version instead of overoptimizing.
It certainly would make sense to connect the motor grounds to the breadboard as well. But right now they're wired separately, so I kept it that way.
