Bug description

I upgraded my Ubuntu Budgie 25.04 to 25.10 a few days ago. Everything went without errors but I realized that SaveDesktop doesn't recognize my installed Budgie desktop environment anymore.
If I launch the program in a terminal I get a few errors and I took a screenshot which I attach here.

Please open the Terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and enter this command:

echo $XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP

Then, insert the output here.

I tried that before because I saw another post with the same problem.

Yeah, this is the problem, because Save Desktop works on Budgie only if the output of the $XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP variable is Budgie:GNOME, which works with older versions but not with newer ones. So, I will fix support for newer versions of Budgie in the next release.
As a temporary solution, I suggest you use this command:

echo "export XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=Budgie:GNOME" >> ~/.bashrc

This changes the output of the $XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP variable from Budgie to Budgie:GNOME, which should allow the application to function properly.
