Todos integration with external workflow or project tracking apps

Maybe this has been addressed (I couldn't find anything on this), but, wondering about ways to integrate todos/issues with Github Projects or Jira. Any thoughts on this? Having todos outside of some of the company std tracking and task mgmt apps is difficult. Plus I don't want to build out and support a set of cross-API integrations. A plugin perhaps?

Today, you can poll the REST API from any middleware (n8n/Jira Automation) but otherwise agree with you that’d be an extension for convenience (most likely licensed, for keeping up with Atlassian API drift or other similar providers). Will put some thoughts into it.

Thanks Vincent. I did setup some REST tests. One very troublesome issue for our EA team in the past has been trying to build/support our own tools and integrations without getting the enterprise to truly operationalize and support them. We've done it many times on our own only to have the operational support fall off as EA team members come and go - it becomes a hard sell to get IT ops to really support side tools (while other significant business system take precedence) - so just getting one good tool in place that EA and the enterprise can use is a good selling point to our management to make the case.

+1 — and please consider GitLab among the target trackers. Our use case: todos raised on cards (sign-offs, data-quality gaps) mirrored as GitLab issues in the owning team's project, with the external-reference chip linking back. We run Turbo EA self-hosted (AWS) with GitLab as the single tracker for all engineering work, so Jira-only would not cover us. The grants model described in the docs (core.todos.read/write + core.events.todo) looks like a perfect fit.

Absolutely, I'm almost done with the Jira extension and have established the reusable patterns for other solutions, so creating a new extension for GitLab integration is definitively the next on the list.
