Unfortunately it wasn't possible to keep syncing compatibility between versions 4.x and 3.x of Zavala. See the blog post, Building Zavala 4.0 for all the gory details. Since Zavala 4.0 requires macOS 26 and iOS 26, you have to upgrade to both keep syncing between iOS and macOS. With a good deal of work, it would have been possible to get Zavala 4.0 to work on older versions of the operating systems. The problem is that there just isn't enough Zavala users, especially at this late date, on the older versions to make it worth the effort. I'm sorry and I realize this is inconvenient. I just don't have the time or energy to keep supporting older versions of the operating systems indefinitely. The good news is that I don't foresee Apple making another radical change to their design language anytime soon. I should have no problems supporting macOS 26 and iOS 26 for years to come. |

Uh oh!

Hi,
I tried to download the lates compatible version of the app from AppStore, but the sync is not working correctly. My currently installed macOS version is Ventura and updating it will take lots of time and preparations.
Is the update to the latest macOS 26 mandatory to have working sync between the app on iOS 26 and macOS?
Thank you
