Privacy Policy

Tea Shop Account ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal expense tracking application designed to help tea shop owners monitor vendor expenses, payments, and donations. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Summary: Tea Shop Account stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information to third parties.
The app itself does not collect any personal information. All data you enter is stored locally on your device using on-device storage (AsyncStorage). The types of data you may enter include:
- Vendor names and contact details
- Expense records (amounts, items, dates, and times)
- Payment records (amounts, dates, payment modes)
- Donation records
- App settings and preferences
All data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers and do not have access to your data. If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted.
The app offers an optional backup feature using Google Drive. If you choose to use this feature:
- You will be asked to sign in with your Google account
- Backup files are stored in your own Google Drive account
- We do not have access to your Google account or your backup files
- Use of Google Drive is governed by Google's Privacy Policy
The app may request the following permissions:
- Camera: Used solely for scanning QR codes (e.g., UPI payment QR codes). No images or videos are captured, stored, or transmitted.
- Biometric Authentication: Used to lock and secure the app. Biometric data (fingerprint/face) is processed entirely by your device's operating system. We never access or store biometric data.
The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any of your data with third parties. The app includes a feature to share payment details via WhatsApp — this is initiated solely by you and uses your device's native sharing functionality.
This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data:
- All data remains on your device
- Optional biometric lock prevents unauthorized access
- No data is transmitted over the internet (except optional Google Drive backups, which use Google's secure infrastructure)
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
