Thanks — and this was a real bug, not a settings problem. Your screenshot was enough to find it. What was happening. The lock-screen cards were laid out in a single vertical column, in the strip above the login/avatar group. That strip is short, and the Now Playing card alone is ~168pt. Running the numbers for real displays:
Anything that did not fit whole was dropped — deliberately, so a card could not be sliced in half or spill over the password field. But that meant on a 13" display you got exactly one card no matter how many you switched on, which is precisely what you are seeing. The entire width of the screen next to it was sitting empty the whole time. Fixed by flowing the overflow sideways instead of throwing it away: cards now fill a column top-to-bottom, then start a new column beside it (up to 3, depending on how wide your display is). Your card order is preserved, and cards are still dropped rather than drawn over the login field once every column is full — but that now takes three columns' worth instead of one. Covered by four new tests ( One thing that has not changed: each card still decides for itself whether it has anything to say. No track playing, no running timer, no due reminder → that card draws nothing and the stack closes up. So if a card is enabled and still absent after this lands, it is most likely empty rather than dropped — tell me which one and I will look. Shipping in the next release. Thanks for reporting it, and for the kind words. |

Can you close this discussion if this is fixed? |

Notchy 1.0.191 updates Spotify's library endpoints, including Liked Songs state/actions, and retains the lock-screen card sizing improvements. Please update and test the Spotify Like button as well as the clipped playing card. If only one is still wrong, tell me which; for clipping, note your card-density/matched-height settings. I haven't confirmed both issues on your setup, so no need to close this until they work for you. |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
Really love the application, I'm just having issue with the Lookscreen loading of the Cards even though multiple cards are On in the settings, it will only load the first card in the lockscreen.
