v1.5.2
v1.5.1
Added
- Two app icons, light and dark, to choose from in Catalog > Settings.
Light, a white tile with a grey mark, is the new default for the app and
the favicon. Dark is the black icon the app had until now, unchanged. - Favicons for every device. The iPhone and iPad home-screen icon is a full
square, since iOS rounds it itself, and Android gets a web manifest with a
maskable icon.
Changed
- The macOS icon follows Apple's icon grid, so in the Dock it is the same size
as the icons around it.
v1.5.0
Added
- A Microsoft Store package:
npm run dist:storebuilds an.appx(MSIX) for
upload to Partner Center, with its identity in theappxblock of
package.jsonand the Store tiles inbuild/appx/, drawn by
build/make-icons.py. - A privacy policy page,
web/privacy.html, published with the demo at
https://vladpereverzyev.github.io/lab-ledger-dental/privacy.html,
translated into Italian, Spanish, French and German (privacy.it.html,
privacy.es.html,privacy.fr.html,privacy.de.html), each linked from
the README in its language. - A Mac App Store build:
npm run dist:masmakes a sandboxed.pkg, and the
Mac App Storeworkflow builds it on a macOS runner and can upload it to
App Store Connect. Certificates, profile and API key come from the
repository secrets only.
Changed
- The app is now called Lab Ledger Dental, and the repository moved to
vladpereverzyev/lab-ledger-dental, with the bundle ID
com.labledgerdental.app. On Windows the update replaces the installed Lab
Ledger instead of installing beside it. Its data folder keeps the old name,
so an update finds the archive and the recovery code where they were, and
encrypted backups made before still restore. - A Store install leaves updates to the Store: the update check, its button and
its switch in Settings are off there. - The same goes for a Mac App Store install. There the automatic Excel copy
goes into a folder you pick, which the sandbox lets the app keep writing to
after a restart. - The macOS
.dmgis signed and notarized when the Apple secrets are set, so
it opens without a security warning.
Fixed
- On macOS, Cmd+C, Cmd+V, Cmd+A and Cmd+Q work: the app keeps a minimal menu
there instead of none.
v1.4.8
Changed
- Electron updated from 44.3.0 to 44.4.4.
- The build and demo workflows use newer GitHub Actions:
actions/checkoutv5,
actions/setup-nodev7,actions/upload-artifactv7 and
actions/upload-pages-artifactv5. Installers checked on Windows, macOS and
Linux with a manual build run.
Removed
- The
allowScriptsentry for Electron 44.3.0 inpackage.json: Electron 44
has no install script any more (it downloads its binary on first run), so the
entry did nothing.
v1.4.7
Fixed
- The system dialogs to save and open files (backups, Excel export and import,
the automatic Excel copy) had English titles in every language; they now
follow the app's language. - A new material starts with its unit in the app's language ("pezzo", "Stück"...)
instead of "piece". - The theme button's accessibility label is translated.
- The language badges and document links in the README point to their full
address, so switching language works wherever the README is opened.
v1.4.6
Fixed
- The tooltips on the edit, delete and remove icons were always in English;
they now follow the language. - The browser demo's banner (Live Demo, Download App, Reset Demo) and its
"available in the desktop app" notice were always in English; they are now
translated too.
v1.4.5
Changed
- One number format in every language: a dot for thousands and a comma for
decimals - 1.234,56 € - in every table, card, total, chart axis and
percentage. Before, the separators followed the language, so English, for
one, showed 1,234.56 €, and chart axes always used a comma for thousands. - A shorter, classic README introduction in every language.
v1.4.4
Fixed
- The browser demo showed "vdemo" as its version when it could not reach GitHub;
it now shows "demo". - The works count under the list says "1 work", not "1 works", in every language.
- The button that writes the Excel copy now agrees with "copy" in Italian and
Spanish ("Scrivila adesso", "Escribirla ahora").
Changed
- The README has a Roles and permissions section: what the administrator and an
operator can do, what each permission opens, typical setups, and a screenshot
of what an operator sees.
v1.4.3
Changed
- Someone who only works at the bench sees only the work. An operator
without the permission to see prices and profit now sees no amount anywhere:
no prices, costs or margins in the works list and none in its totals, no
Summary, no material costs, running costs or taxes, and no export or backup,
since every one of them is full of prices. Before, the totals under the works
list and the costs in the Catalog were still visible. - The Catalog is for whoever may change it. An operator without the
permission to edit the catalog no longer sees the Catalog tab at all, so
clients, materials and work types cannot be opened or changed; what the work
form needs is still offered there. Settings are for the administrator only. - Every dialog sits on the same frosted background as the sign-in screen, and
settings values share one size, weight and typeface. - The copyright line on the sign-in screen links to the author, as the footer does.
- A new README introduction, and screenshots retaken from this version.
Fixed
- In Outgoing, the totals sat a scrollbar's width to the right of their
columns once the list was long enough to scroll. - For an operator who cannot edit works, the hidden tick column cut the dates
short and shifted the columns after it.
v1.4.2
Changed
- The "companion Excel file" is now called the automatic Excel copy, and its
explanation says plainly what it does: a copy of all the data, rewritten when
the app opens and closes, for reading - changes made in the file are not read
back and are overwritten. Before, it said Excel could "open and edit" it. - Accents and wording fixed across the Italian, Spanish, French and German
texts (the German ones also no longer switch between "Sie" and "du"). - The Excel import error names the Italian "Lavoro" column as well as "Work".
- The footer, the sign-in screen and the update dialog show only the copyright;
the licence stays in Catalog > Settings. - New README screenshots of the lab setup, Incoming, editing an operator and
Settings; the existing ones are retaken from this version.
Fixed
- In Incoming, the totals under the works list sat one column to the right:
hiding the shipping column shifted every later cell. The column now closes
up in place, in the list and in the totals. - Catalog changes and imports (Excel and backup) are now recorded in History,
as the documentation already said they were. - A backup that cannot be written - a full disk, a read-only folder - now says
so, instead of failing without a word. - Long messages, such as where an unreadable data file was moved, stay on
screen long enough to be read.
